Prime Explosives partners with quarries across New Zealand to provide a complete drill and blast solution encompassing blast design, drilling, loading, and initiation.

02 · Drill Services
Prime Explosives currently has four drill rigs located across the North and South Islands.
We utilise new-generation equipment that provides diagnostic data on drill conditions and work performance — allowing our team to focus on delivering quality drill & blast services, accurately and efficiently.
Our North Island rig keeps quarries supplied and on schedule from the Bay of Plenty base.
Three rigs cover South Island operations, with a mix of Rock Commander and Ingersoll Rand machines.

04 · Face Profiling & Blast Design
Prime Explosives provides face profiling and electronic blast design to improve blast accuracy, safety, and overall performance. Using detailed face data, our team can optimise hole positioning, burden, spacing, and timing to suit individual site conditions.
Electronic blast design provides greater control over blast sequencing and fragmentation, helping reduce vibration, minimise flyrock risk, and improve overall blast efficiency.
