Prime Explosives product range consists of bulk and packaged emulsion as well as ANFO to provide the right product for each customer’s needs. Prime Explosives are proud to manufacture as well as supply their own bulk emulsion called PrimeX. PrimeX is available in different blends to accommodate different conditions.
PrimeX 3000 Gassed blend is designed to be pumped from a bulk delivery truck through a loading hose to the bottom of each blast hole. It has been developed for wet hole blasting conditions in small to medium diameter open cut mining. PrimeX 3000 Gassed blend can be used as a 100% emulsion product as well as blended with up to 40% ANFO by weight for use in wet holes.
PrimeX 3000 Heavy ANFO blend is designed to be augered from a bulk delivery truck. It has been developed for dry de-watered blasting conditions in small to medium diameter open cut mining. PrimeX 3000 Heavy ANFO blend can be blended with up to 50% emulsion by weight for use in dewatered holes.
Prime also have an Emulsion specifically designed for underground mines where mildly reactive grounds exist. PrimeX 7000UGX gassed emulsion is a primer sensitive bulk emulsion designed to be pumped from an underground Pump Unit and has excellent water resistance.

Our MMUs (Mobile Mixing Units) and a bulk tanker enable us to meet the demands of our customers. All MMUs are regularly serviced and maintained to ensure maximum productivity. With an adequate sized fleet to accommodate our customer needs we ensure that any downtime is kept to a minimum.
Prime Explosives currently works together with many quarries to provide the full Drill & Blast service. With the right equipment, experts in the field and excellent communication between the Shotfirers and Drillers, Prime Explosives can carry out blast design, drilling and loading as well as firing in a timely manner.
